Artist Profile_Born in 1977 in Oita City, Oita Prefecture. In the spring of 2013, in the town of Taketa where history and art remain strong, triggered by a solo exhibition Makiko Ogomori opened an atelier gallery – COTO, at an old house. She creates and develops works using a small amount of old tools, used paper, scrap materials like dried leaves and wood chips to create her work. "Plants and trees in nature are the greatest textbooks for me to learn from."
